Archive for March, 2011

There’s something about cloudy days, dilapidated buildings, and lush green countryside (plus the addition of some fabulous railroad tracks and a fun lens to play with) that just make me swoon.

P.S. I’m still on the lookout for some senior reps! Visit the new senior website to learn more or give me a call at 406.240.3469 to chat about how to become a rep and receive amazing discounts on your senior photos!

Cheers!

I met up with Charity and Matt the other day for their engagement session out in the woods. Amazingly enough, being that it’s near the end of March, we were still able to find some snow – hooray! We had a lovely time walking and talking and catching some very sweet moments between these two. The sun even peeked out for a bit!

Thanks so much, C and M! What a great time – I’m so excited to be photographing your wedding this year!

On the docket: more fabulous engagement sessions! And remember, I’m on the lookout for senior representatives. Be sure to check out the new senior website, too! :)

Cheers!

I’m super excited to launch a new division of my website, specifically for seniors in high school in Missoula and neighboring towns! I’ve attached a screen grab below so you can take a peek, but it’s way more fun to visit the real deal in person. :) Check it out! And, if you’re feeling so inclined, please share with any seniors or parents-of-seniors that you know who would be interested in either a session with me OR in being a senior rep (there’s all sorts of great info on the site about this). Thanks so much! Happy weekend!

Cheers!

-Kristine

P.S. This should go without saying, but please don’t copy my designs, my photography, or even my wording. It’s just not nice. :) Thanks!

Today’s Wordless Wednesday post features a video I just put together for Peter the Pie Guy who’s become a regular at the Missoula Clark Fork River Market on Saturdays in the spring and summer selling his made-from-scratch pies.

I call this: { Peter the Pie Guy – an Ode to Betty Lou } Now, let’s let him do the talking! (Click the play button below to get it started. You may want to press play and then pause to let the video start loading. To watch in HD, click the HD button and follow the instructions.)

On the docket: engagement sessions!

Cheers!

Missoula has gotten a lot of snow this winter – and Katherine, Mike, their black lab, Buck, and I all found this out during their lovely engagement session. We had so much fun making some fun images for the two of them. Katherine and Mike are so warm and smiley, and very obviously in love with one another – I found myself grinning non-stop during their session. We all had some good laughs upon literally stumbling across some snow pack that was over our knees. Thanks again for being so gung-ho about everything, you two! I cannot *wait* for your wedding this summer!

On the docket: engagement sessions and a video about pie that you don’t want to miss!

Cheers!

Ok, so I’m veering a bit from a traditional Wordless Wednesday post and instead want to give a shout out to LunaFest, which is taking place Wednesday, March 16th at the Wilma Theater in downtown Missoula to help benefit the YWCA of Missoula. What is LunaFest, you ask? To quote from the Missoula LunaFest’s website:

LUNAFEST was established in 2000 by LUNA, the makers of the Whole Nutrition Bar for Women, to simultaneously promote women filmmakers, raise awareness for women’s issues, and support worthy women’s nonprofit organizations throughout the U.S. and Canada.

LUNAFEST is completely funded by LUNA and run by a small, dedicated group of LUNA employees. 100 percent of all proceeds are donated to charity – 15 percent to the Breast Cancer Fund and the remaining 85 percent of proceeds go directly back to hosting community organizations.

Over the years, as LUNAFEST has grown from a single annual event to more than 150 festivals each season, LUNA’s commitment to this worthwhile program has grown as well. We are continually inspired by the individual and collective efforts of women – and we are awed by the results. To date, LUNAFEST has raised over $570,000 for worthwhile women’s organizations, while raising hope and awareness for the stories of women everywhere.

They’ll be showing films, there will be a great auction to take advantage of some seriously awesome services provided by Missoula folks (did I mention you can bid on a portrait session by me? :) ), and you’ll get to walk away knowing your money has helped a very worthy cause.

So, yes, not much of a Wordless Wednesday post, but I’ll post a photo from a shoot I donated to the YWCA – you can add your own words to it. :)

On the docket: engagement sessions!

I make a lot of photos that don’t actually end up on the blog. A lot of them are just for fun, some just don’t fit in the space I allot myself, and….oh, I don’t know. I get busy and just don’t post them. But, I’ve decided to remedy that by doing a Wordless Wednesday post each week.  I’ll be blogging one image or series of images, with little to no explanation needed. For the very first Worldess Wednesday, I’m sharing the following……
