Jean and Nick share a mutual love for each other, and a mutual love of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. In fact, they got to know one another over a pb & j sandwich at a camp at which they both worked, and they made sure to incorporate all of their favorite things during their beautiful wedding day at the Double Arrow Lodge in Seeley Lake, Montana. From personalized dice for guests to a unique cake topper (made by Nick!) celebrating their fondness for the character Cthulhu from one of their favorite books, their wedding day was uniquely them.

There were a few tears, lots of laughter and plenty of fun to be had. Guests enjoyed a scrumptious dinner, games in the golden sunlight, and lively camp dances late into the evening. Such a fun day filled with many great memories!

Thank you so much, Jean and Nick, for inviting me into your most special of days! Here’s to peanut butter and jelly forever! :)

We had such a fun week. It was an absolute blast with much laughing and adventure. Made us realize that life is too short to not have that much fun more often.
Please come see us in Kona soon. Me ke aloha, Jeff & Teri Leicher

From the cowboy boots on Emily’s feet to the cowboy hat on George’s head, theirs was a wedding that truly spoke to who they are as a couple (remember their awesome e-session from a bit ago?). Every bit of their wedding was simply beautiful and simply THEM. A friend married them, their siblings stood up with them, and they looked to the mountains as they pledged their vows to one another.

Even as the wind whipped and rain threatened, George and Emily took it all in stride and had a blast sharing their wedding day with their friends and family. Big Sky beers flowed (gotta love Summer Honey and Scapegoat), the conversation and toasts were both merry and touching, and the dancing was punctuated by quite a lot of comedy (I’m still smiling!).

Thank you so much, George and Emily, for inviting me to document your wedding day and for being such kind, caring people – what an absolutely wonderful and moving celebration of the two of you getting to spend the rest of your lives together. Congratulations and all the best to you both!

Tom and Solange. Solange and Tom. A beautiful pair, a couple that is truly meant to be. They were married at St. Francis Xavier Church of Missoula, in a ceremony filled with a variety of emotions – giggles, laughter, tears, and most of all – love, pure love.

I had the honor of capturing their special day, and witnessing the absolute joy between them. Solange and Tom – I wish you all the best in your new life together – thank you for allowing me to document the amazing, heartfelt moments of your wedding!

I just wanted to post some of my favorite shots from Maria and Eric’s wedding on the 18th of September at the Doubletree Hotel in Missoula.

We did some fun portraits before the ceremony down by the river, and though the light was really bright and the sun was hot! (poor Eric!), you’d never know it from their happy demeanor, and I got some nice shots of just the two of them.

The ceremony was sweet – Eric’s mother officiated – and then it was reception time. Everyone I met was really very nice, and I even received one of the kindest compliments from a friend of Maria’s. “You’re the nicest photographer I’ve ever met!” I was a little taken aback – “Really?” “Yes, most other wedding photographers are barking orders to people.” Wow. I was so completely flattered. Thank you!

Maria and Eric’s cake was from Bernice’s Bakery (popular choice!), and had a huckleberry filling. The cake was gorgeous, and accented with calla lilies. Maria’s bouquet was also comprised of calla lilies, and the table centerpieces featured them as well. (Maria and friends/family arranged the centerpieces – they were so beautiful!)

But enough talk – now for the photos!

Kisses down by the river!

Such a sweet kiss with a pretty sparkly water background.

And a beautiful smile from the bride.

“We’re doing what with the umbrella?”

Mother and son.

Maria and Eric having a private moment amidst all the activity going on around them before the ceremony.

Walking down the aisle.

Gorgeous cake from Bernice’s.

Everyone needs a photo of the cake – it’s nearly irresistible! (see the hand!)

This little guy was so unbelievably adorable. We had a little game of “can Kristine get a picture of a precocious little 2-year-old?” I think I succeeded.

Next up for me: photographing the Whiskey Rebellion at the Union Club tomorrow night, and an engagement session this weekend. Both will be a lot of fun! Hoping for great weather come Sunday!

Cheers,
-Kristine

I finished editing Erin and Justin’s wedding pictures a bit ago, and am happy to share a few of my favorites on the blog. Erin was especially fun to photograph because she was just so darn happy! Which is wonderful to see in a bride. It was really enjoyable to be around this group of folks – family and friends alike…a very positive and welcoming atmosphere.

Talking on the phone before heading to the church.

Grooving to some tunes on a fun (and bumpy!) ride in the stretch limo.

There was a little downtime once we got to the church, so the ladies had a good time peeking out of the top of the limo. We were all laughing pretty hard!

Erin and her dad walking down the aisle.

A beautiful church and a good-looking wedding party.

There was a bit of comical difficulty getting the ring on to Erin’s finger – so Justin began preparing himself for his turn.

Oh, look at those altar eyes!

The first kiss of wedded bliss!

The air was thick with bubbles!

Erin’s beautiful bouquet and veil.

Such a cute little baby – she was sleeping hard!

The whole wedding party had some fun with bubbles, too!

A funky little wide-angle portrait.

The groomsmen getting ready to loosen up a bit.

A cute kiss!

Erin pointing out to Justin the flowers in her bouquet.

The elegant cake from Bernice’s.

Cutting the cake is never as easy as it appears to be…

The first dance – beautiful!

Congratulations to the two of them and their families! What a great couple to photograph!

I also recently photographed Maria and Eric’s wedding at the Doubletree Hotel in Missoula, which was also very sweet with a friendly and fun group of people. Can’t wait to finish editing their photos and get them posted!

Until then,
-Kristine
