I took a little trip the other day to the National Bison Range since I’d never actually been before. (Shame, shame!) Since it’s not tourist season yet, it was pretty quiet up there, but that made the trip so nice. Meadowlarks sang their pretty little songs, the bison munched on grass and pronghorn antelope used teasle to scratch the things that itched.
It’s gorgeous at the range – stunning mountainous backdrops, rolling hills…all good stuff. Anyone want to do a photo shoot there? :)
Ok – now for the pics. Enjoy!
Also, coming up on the blog: a recipe for hummus that’s downright addictive! Plus, more fun stuff, too – just got to keep it under wraps for now!
Cheers,
-Kristine

Beautiful, Kristine! I’ve been there but I think your photo brought out the mountains even more beautifully than I remember them.

Why, thank you Bern! :)

Hi Kristine,
If you are interested, Odin and I have friends who have a buffalo ranch up in eastern MT, where you could get pictures much closer!!

Your pictures triggered a lot of good memories — it was near the top of the drive that we spotted our first Lewis’ Woodpecker that acts more like a flycatcher than a woodpecker at times. Marvelous area and your pictures captured the essence of it all. Thanks for sharing. G. Now I’ll share them with G-pops.

G&G – that’s really cool; I’m glad you liked the photos, especially since they triggered some fond memories.
