If you’re a photographer, have you ever wondered what gear other professionals use and what actually works? I know something like this would have been beneficial to me when I was just starting out since it can be a bit of a daunting world out there in terms of just the sheer amount of gear from which to choose. So I thought it would be handy to share my favorite photo gear for wedding, portrait and editorial freelance photographers that really helps me get the job done. From lenses to camera bodies to computer equipment, it’ll be on that list.
I’m all about using gear that helps, not hinders, especially in regard to ergonomics, so you’ll also see that much of what I use is built to put the least amount of stress on your body as possible. I know that when I’m old I don’t want to regret not treating my body well while I was working, and being photographer can sometimes be pretty physically rough on a person.
Even if you’re not a photographer, you might find some useful items on my gear page – I also recommend AA batteries that I think are awesome, data backup services that everyone should be using, no matter their occupation (no one should have to worry about losing their data!), and even a desk that I think is the bees knees.
You can take a peek at the photo and gear below, but for more detailed information about what’s actually in that photo plus updated info, and reviews of the things I use (and of what you see here), please visit My Gear Bag page and peruse! I hope you find it helpful and informative, and that maybe it saves you a little time in the hunt for photo gear that works for you.
Cheers!
