As you may know if you’ve followed my work for a while, I adore color and texture and all sorts of bright and happy in my images. So when I was photographing Bridger’s Missoula Montana urban senior pictures and he told me he is also a fan of those things and enjoys art too, I knew we’d have a great time making some fun photos for him.
We had a good time wandering and visiting some eclectic, colorful and funky areas around Missoula, and really making the most of texture, light and bright color pops (and maybe a giant rooster as well – I mean – how can you NOT have fun with a giant rooster painted on a wall?!).
As we walked and photographed, Bridger told me a bit more about himself. He’s a senior at Hamilton High School, and is quite the actively-involved student! As he said, he’s the senior class president, National Honor Society president, is a Spirit Club member, a GSA member, and a Key Club member. To top it off, he’s got a full load of AP classes he’s taking at the moment, and especially enjoys his government class right now because so much of what they’re learning is topical.
When he’s not busy with school and his extracurricular activities, Bridger mentioned that he likes video games, hiking and skiing, and traveling – whether it is just to Missoula to visit and hang out with friends, or across the world to explore new locales.
Bridger’s travel bug has got him applying to colleges and universities all over, but he’s really hoping to attend college in California, and is thinking about pursuing a degree in entrepreneurship with an art focus (he really likes graphic design).
Bridger! Thank you again for such a great session – it was so nice to meet you (and I’m so glad we had a non-rainy day for your shoot!). I truly enjoyed getting to hear more about you and your aspirations, and there’s no doubt in my mind that you’re going to excel at all your pursuits – way to really go for it! So impressive!
On the Docket:
