On another one of my photo adventures with my visiting brother, we checked out the Lee Metcalf Wildlife Refuge. I’d never been before, and it was definitely worth the trip. It’s a gorgeous spot with all sorts of bird activity. I should mention, I love birds. LOVE ’em. Perhaps this has something to do with the fact that I grew up with canaries as pets and have two pet birds of my own (Flash the parrotlet and Mozart the canary). Or my love for them could be because they’re just so darn cool. Don’t tell me you aren’t envious of their wings and ability to fly!
Anyway, these are some of my favorite photos from our excursion – enjoy! The highlight for me was seeing the Great Egret. What a cool dude! And if you get a chance, you should swing by and visit the refuge. It’s lovely!
Cheers,
-Kristine
