A few days after Christmas I had the pleasure of getting together with Megan and Jeremy and their family since they were all together in Missoula for the holidays. It was such a treat to see everyone again, and this time around I even got to meet Megan and Jeremy's dog, Grafton (who is the cutest, fuzziest dude ever!). The backstory about their "engagement" session is that I photographed Megan and Jeremy's wedding in 2012 (so pretty!), but we had to delay their engagement session until a later date since they live more than a hop and a skip away from Missoula. So, a little over a year later we had a great time making photos of these two - ...
Sunshine and Snow – {The Campbell & Bravard Families’ Missoula Portraits}
It was so nice to meet up with the Campbell and Bravard families a few days after Christmas - and we even lucked out with a sunny winter wonderland to traipse through as we made our photos. It was chilly, but oh so worth it! Chase and Cole were such good sports about dealing with the cold, and their smiles could've warmed anybody watching. Thank you again, guys! It was so nice to meet you all and a treat to help out with a wonderfully thoughtful Christmas gift as well! On the docket: portraits! Don't miss them! Cheers, -Kristine ...
Father and Sons – {The Sandberg Family’s Wintry Photo Session}
I had the pleasure of meeting up with Mike, Cole and Josiah the other day to photograph their family session that they won from the University of Montana's Easter Eggstravaganza this past spring. And, even though it was SOOOO cold, we had such a nice time tromping about through the fresh snow. The boys are huge fans of the Green Bay Packers (woo hoo Wisconsin shout out!), and they even showed off to me their best, fiercest game day faces. (I'm pretty sure I heard some Vikings' knees a-knockin' over yonder.) Thanks again, guys, for a fun session! And kudos to you again for braving the cold! I hope that hot chocolate was warm and tasty. ...
Blue Skies and Sunny Smiles – {The Jones Family’s Stevensville, Montana Portraits}
I simply adore being able to meet the newest additions to my couples' families. To have the opportunity to photograph their new family together is such a treat and such an honor, and I got to do just that with Kim, Randy and their 9-month-old daughter Reata. It's hard to believe that not too long ago we were making engagement photos and wedding photos. Crazy how time flies! It was a bit of a chilly afternoon for our shoot, but the sun was on our side and kept us warm as we ventured from spot to spot. And Reata - what a little cutie pie! She was great, and had a blast "driving" Randy's truck from location to location as well. There is so ...
A Walk through the Woods – {The Means Family’s Missoula Photo Session}
I got together with the Means family a few days ago to make some photos of the four of them together, and of just Kira and Logan as well. I'm always so happy when families make the time to do this because it's true - we all get busy with our lives and before we know it, one kid is on one side of the country, and another kid is off on an adventure abroad and poof! It becomes challenging to get everyone together in the same place at the same time. We ended up getting to shoot on a quintessentially gorgeous Montana morning - there was a light dusting of snow on the trees and the temps were low, but not so low that we were freezing cold. And, ...
A Season for Smiles – {The Braun Family’s Missoula Portraits}
Cute kids, golden leaves, happy smiles - that's about the definition of perfection, isn't it? Maddy, Ali, Nick, Rachel and even Sunny the dog, and I all had a great time on a beautiful autumn afternoon making some photos of them together and individual portraits as well. We giggled, we chit chatted, and we definitely laughed. Great job, you guys! Keep those beautiful smiles and laughter coming! :) On the docket: portraits, one last wedding for the year, and more portraits! Don't miss out! Cheers, -Kristine ...
Toddler Giggles and Walks in the Woods – {Daisy, Erik and Woody’s Missoula Family Session}
I was giddy upon hearing from Daisy and Erik that they wanted to do another photo session with me while they were in town visiting from North Carolina - this time with their adorable little toddler, Woody! I was so excited to be seeing and photographing them again (I photographed their lovely wedding day a couple years ago), AND to be meeting their cuter-than-a-bug-in-a-rug little boy. Oh. My. Gosh. We had a blast. Woody was such a champ, and he showed us the fine art of tossing rocks into the river, reminded us of the simple pleasure of feeling sand sift through your fingertips, and treated us all to the absolute effervescence of ...
Happy in the Hills – {The Roberts Family’s Missoula Photo Session}
I have been wanting to blog the Roberts' family's photo session for a while now since 1. They were a total and complete blast to photograph. 2. We seriously had a gorgeous evening to work with. And 3. Their girls, Landon and Logan made me remember just what is so exceptionally amazing about being a kid. We giggled, we skipped, we got goofy, we ran, we played in the grass, and we made Jill and Dave laugh too. And it was pure beauty. What a treat it was to photograph your family - thank you! Come back and visit again soon! :) On the docket: portraits, weddings, and more portraits! Don't miss out! Cheers, -Kristine ...
Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries :: The House Family’s Flathead Lake Lifestyle Family Portraits
What's better than Montana's Flathead Lake in the summer? Not much. But... if you add the adorable House family to the mix- Hallie, Ryan and their kiddos Jude, Lyla and Piper....then you've got a recipe for pure sweetness for lifestyle family portraits. I had the pleasure of meeting up with them at their family's lake house on Finley Point to make some fun, spontaneous photos of them as they enjoyed the woods, lake and cherry orchard surrounding the property. We skipped stones, said silly words at the top of our lungs, wiggled our toes in the lapping waves, ran races, rolled around in the soft grass, climbed trees, and ate ripe, juicy ...
Sisterhood – {Jenny and Winny’s Missoula Sister Session}
Probably one of the greatest compliments I can get from a client is to be invited to photograph them multiple times - and I got to do just that with Jenny! Our first session together was for her senior portraits, and this time, before heading out to college, she wanted to do a sister session with her little sister, Winny, as a gift to themselves and to their parents. Such a sweet idea! We had a great time making some fun images for them, and I've got to hand it to these ladies...it was about 99 degrees during our shoot, but you'd never know it by looking at them. We were all pretty hot after our walk around town, but these ladies totally ...
