Talk about a perfect Montana day for Megin and Seth's wedding! Everyone was treated to a bluebird day, the sun shined brilliantly over the mountaintops in the Bitterroot, and didn't sink behind them again until late in the long June evening. Megin readied herself in the upstairs of the main house, taking deep breaths to calm her nerves, and pausing here and there to peek out the window as guests arrived. Family and friends rested on hay bales as they waited for the grand entrance of the bridal party, and were treated to an adorable petal-scattering by the two flower girls. Megin made the long walk to the aisle on the arm of her father, ...
A Sunny Kind of Love – {Rachel and Peter’s Missoula Wedding}
Sunny with blue skies above, the weather matched Peter and Rachel's personalities to perfectly compliment their wedding day. The two started their day off by getting ready with friends, and then prepared themselves for their first look of one another prior to saying their vows. Rachel walked through the dappled sunlight, veil shimmering, and Peter turned to see his bride - the two hugged, kissed and a few tears sneaked out as well as their emotions flowed freely. Soon, it was time for their ceremony, and they and their bridal party walked down the Caras Park stairs to stand in front of their friends and family and share their love with ...

A Sunny Celebration – {Starr and Ian’s Missoula Wedding}
When Starr called me up to ask me about photographing her intimate wedding Memorial Day weekend, I just knew I'd have a blast working with her and her fiancé (now husband!) Ian. She has such a positive, happy energy and it just radiated on her wedding day. She said her vows in the twinkling lights of the Missoula Children's Theater and then she, Ian and I took a walk through the woods to make some fun portraits outdoors after the ceremony. It couldn't have been a more perfect day for these images - sunny and gorgeous! As we were heading back to our respective vehicles, Starr proposed the idea of an impromptu rock the dress session. And who ...
Married Amongst the Mountains – {Beth and Andy’s Winter Wedding in Glacier, Montana}
Winter in Glacier is....simply breathtakingly, jaw-droppingly, make-you-weak-in-the-knees GORGEOUS. Beth and Andy's Christmas-time winter wedding in Glacier at the Belton Chalet was no exception. From the fresh snowfall that morning to the rustic charm of the chalet, to the mountains enveloped in fog.....their day. was. INCREDIBLE. In every way. We all had such a blast visiting Lake McDonald, and even though it was pretty dang chilly, that didn't hinder Beth and Andy and their wedding party from being troopers and making some really fun photos. Beth's reaction to the scenery at the lake when we initially arrived was pretty priceless - I'm ...
December Love – {Amanda and Neil’s Great Falls Wedding}
It was such a beautiful December day for Amanda and Neil's wedding - it was so warm it almost felt like spring, and the sun was shining! Amanda and Neil were so excited and happy to see one another on their big day, and we all traipsed over to Giant Springs State Park to make some images, which was such a great idea. Despite it being a bit windy, it couldn't have been a more perfect place to capture some great moments. Amanda and Neil pledged their love to on another in front of a large group of family and friends in the beautiful, open setting of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Great Falls, emotion on their faces as they said their ...

The Autumn Leaves of Red and Gold – {Kristi and Derek’s Missoula Wedding}
The first time I met Kristi and Derek was in St. Paul, Minnesota, after chatting with Kristi on the phone. I was in the area, and we thought it'd be great to get together at a local restaurant (Cafe Latte, for any of you midwesterners out there - one of my old haunts from when I lived in the twin cities), and it was so nice chatting with them over dinner and getting to know one another, and I knew we'd have a great time together at their wedding. Which of course we did! The day started out a bit smoky, but much to Kristi's delight, it cleared up and made way for a pretty darn awesome backdrop for their wonderful ceremony. Missoula Mayor ...
An All Star Kind of Love – {Kendra and Beau’s Slack Barn Wedding}
It was more than a little smoky for Kendra and Beau's wedding at the Slack Barn in Corvallis, Montana, but they didn't let it dampen their spirits at all. These two were all smiles as they readied for their ceremony and until the evening's end - and the guys even demonstrated some of their best acrobatics by creating one of the tallest groomsmen pyramids I've ever seen - in a tree! Kendra and Beau continued their fun-loving theme by both wearing All-Star converse sneakers: Kendra's in purple and Beau's in black. Guests enjoyed a tasty roasted pig for dinner, and the acrobatics continued onto the dance floor where the art of back flips ...
Kicking up their Heels – {Maureen and Casey’s Missoula Wedding}
Maureen and Casey's wedding was full of lots of laughter, smiles and beautiful emotion. From the moment I met up with Maureen as she was getting ready, all the way until folks were dancing into the night, it was good, happy vibes all around. Maureen walked down the aisle to music from a string quartet and the two pledged their love to one another, voices full of emotion, as friends and family beamed from their seats. They made their grand entrance to their reception in a gleaming old car that they drove from the church, shiny cans clattering behind them, letting all of Missoula know they were just married. Guests were treated to a ...
