Melissa and Sean’s wedding at Chico Hot Springs Wedding in Pray Montana was everything one dreams a Montana wedding to be: full of beautiful vistas, gorgeous mountain ranges, a killer big sky sunset, and a couple so in love and so happy that you can’t help but grin along with them throughout their entire day.

Puffy clouds punctuated the mountainous Montana skyline as Melissa and Sean’s wedding ceremony began. Sean eagerly looked to see his bride, and as Melissa walked down the aisle, she laughed and smiled, excited to meet her groom at the altar.

Melissa and Sean’s ceremony was full of personal touches – from Melissa’s father as the officiant, to the readings Melissa and Sean’s mothers and father gave. But the most personal and most amazing touch (that I just LOVED!) was their invitation to everyone to sing “Stand by Me” with them. Guests swayed and sang as a mountain breeze blew tendrils of hair away from faces, and teased smiles onto lips. Guests were encouraged to hug one another and greet their neighbors, a moment so full of joy and kindness and togetherness and fun that it was just purely magical. (I’ve included a teeeeensy little video snippet amidst the photos below of some of the song because it was just too good not to film.) 

Suffice it to say, everyone was so thrilled to cheer on Melissa and Sean as they made their marriage official, and congratulated them heartily as they made their way down the aisle as husband and wife.

Festivities continued down the hill and included a New Orleans style “second line” to continue the celebration, and welcome the newlyweds into their reception (parasols and handkerchiefs included!).

It’s no surprise that Melissa and Sean were treated to hearfelt, emotional and hilarious toasts, and were surrounded by friends and family eager to kick up their heels on the dance floor and boogie down.

And, as the proverbial cherry on top to a fantastic day, Montana wowed us all with a sunset so incredible, it looked as if the sky were on fire (thankfully not though!).

Melissa and Sean – what a wonderful day to celebrate the union of you two, but also your friends and family as well. It was such a pleasure to document such pure happiness, and see just how much love is in your lives. Here’s to a life full of happy days and even more incredible Montana sunsets, too!
