Wintertime months are typically the slower season in my business in terms of shoots – however, I can assure you I’m certainly not sitting around eating bon bons with my feet up (which really doesn’t even sound all that appealing anyway!). The slower season just means that I’m busy working behind the scenes on many things to refresh my business (updating designs, portfolios, learning new techniques, etc.) and myself (working on personal photography projects, etc.) since I can’t usually do this when I’m shooting and editing regularly. So I’m excited to say that the blog has been given a refresh and a facelift!

I’ve long been wanting a clean, crisp look and a color update to go with the aesthetics that I love, and I’ve finally had the time to make that happen for the blog. I’ve also hopefully decreased the load-time to make it more user-friendly for you all, and it’s mobile-responsive, meaning that you can easily enjoy it on your smart phones and tablets, no matter the screen size.

The search function has moved to the left hand sidebar. For example, if you wanted to search for posts that featured dogs, just type in the word “dog” or “dogs” and the blog will pull up posts for you. Or maybe you wanted to see posts featuring a certain wedding venue, or posts about Flathead Lake, etc., etc. It’s a pretty handy (and neat!) feature.

You can also easily view different categories of images (Weddings, Portraits, Senior Pictures, etc.) by clicking the menu, which will take you to a visual representation of what’s been posted in the past. This is particularly useful for those of you who might be curious about various vendors other couples have used for their weddings. (Most of my posts include vendor information at the very end of the post.)
