It was such a treat to meet up with Sierra, David and their new baby boy, Marshall, to make some newborn photos of their darling little guy. Marshall was such a sweetie, and was extra good for his turn in front of the camera. Even Abe the dog joined in for some photos, though he was a bit camera shy. ;) It was so wonderful to meet you all, and thanks again for such a wonderful session! Your little man is quite the cutie pie! :) On the docket: weddings, portraits and more weddings! Stay tuned! Cheers, -Kristine ...
Skipping, Laughter and Lovely Light – {The Bertrands’ Paws Up Family Session}
I joined the Bertrand family at the Paws Up Ranch just outside of Missoula for a little trek across the grounds to make some family photos for them while they were visiting Montana from Georgia. And I've got to say - what a blast! We had so much fun - from stick races in the river, to the boys leaping over one another to a family skipping sessionĀ - it was, hands down, awesome! Thank you again, Bertrands, for having me meet up with you while you were in town. It was so wonderful to meet you all - you are truly a gorgeous family, inside and out, and I'm STILL smiling my face off looking through your photos. :) I hope you enjoyed the rest of ...
Splish Splashing! – {The Chandler’s Flathead Lake Family Session}
Could there be anything better than spending time on Flathead Lake? I'm pretty sure that the lake is a recipe for paradise. And the Chandler family enjoys a piece of this every summer at their family's Flathead Lake cabin. I met up with them there to document their 7-month-old daughter, Marianne's, first time at the lake, and make some fun images of them hanging out and doing their thing. Marianne showed us all how best to munch on rocks and mangoes, how to splash in the lake properly, and how to grin so adults hearts melt (I know mine certainly did!). :) Thank you so much for inviting me to spend a little time with you all and capture ...
Family Fun on the Lake – {Seeley Lake 40th Anniversary Family Session}
I had such a great time the other day zipping up to Placid Lake to make portraits for this lovely family celebrating their mom and dad's 40th anniversary. (Side note: congrats again to you both - that's wonderful!) We had a blast making images on the lake, in the woods and down the path by their cabin in the woods. Thank you again for having me document this stage in all your lives - it was so wonderful to meet you and I hope you all had a relaxing vacation! On the docket: weddings, portraits and more weddings! Cheers, -Kristine ...
Tiny Fingers and Tiny Toes – {Mirai’s Newborn Session}
There is just something so sweet about newborn babies. Their little noises, their teensy-ness, their fuzzy dandelion hair...I could go on and on. And Mirai is definitely the epitome of a bundle of cute! Just shy of a month old (she's a 2012 leapling baby, born on Leap Day), she was content to cuddle with her mom and dad, getting little kisses every so often by the household Labradors. Mirai was pretty curious about everything going on around her, and gazed at us with her newly-focusing eyes - she was such a good little baby for her newborn photographs! Thank you, Rachael, Mike and Mirai for a lovely session - your brand new baby girl is ...
There’s Nothing Better than Being with Family – {Portraits of my Own}
I love my family dearly. Which is a huge understatement. They mean so much to me, especially since we are kind of scattered all across the U.S. So when I get to spend time with them, I adore it. I drove to Spokane to celebrate an early Thanksgiving with my grandparents and uncle, and it was absolutely delightful. I spoiled them with pumpkin pies I made, received wonderful warm hugs and got to cook with grandma (which involved a hilarious turn at trying to figure out how to flatten a duck - long story - it involved a couple YouTube videos and resulted in one funny-looking duck!). Cooking with Grandma is especially dear to me since the last ...
Happy Halloween! – {2011 Missoula Trick-or-Treater Portraits}
A belated Happy Halloween to you all! It was another great night full of little goblins and ghouls ready for tricks, treats and pics at my Halloween Photo Spook Booth. Halloween has always been a favorite holiday of mine, and last year I thought - what the hey - it'll be fun to do this for all the little kids that come by my house on Halloween night. It was a great success last year, and such a fun time this year as well. I noticed there were a few returning trick-or-treaters from last year (I heard one boy shout, "This is the photo house! She's a photo god!" Thank you, mystery boy - that made my night!) as well as lots of new kids armed ...
Dimples, Laughter and Smiles – {Shepard Family Portrait Session}
Laughter and giggles were in abundance during my autumn photo session with the Shepard family. We had such a great time making some family portraits for them, and the kiddos were terrific sports and had a blast in front of the camera. Thank you for such a fun session - you've got an awesome family! :) On the docket: portraits galore! If you haven't yet booked your portrait session, please be sure to do so promptly if you're hoping for an autumn look or would like to use images for Christmas cards. Cheers! -Kristine ...
Sugar and Spice and All Things Nice – {Missoula Family Portrait Session}
I met up with Dawn and Eddie and their five adorable little girls, Jasmine, Jordan, Jersey, Jillian and Julisse the other day for their beautiful family portrait session. What an enjoyable time it was! We had a great time laughing and chatting as we made their portraits, and I've got to say - these girls blew me away with how inquisitive, sweet and polite they all were. We talked a lot about my cameras and my job and I got the sweetest little kid compliment from Jersey. She said, "When we were all walking together, I looked up at my mom and said, 'This is so awesome!' And I had to tell you too - this is awwwwesome!" Thank you all SO much ...
The Best Things in Life Come in Threes – {Darby, MT Family Portrait Session}
And this is certainly true for the Butler family who have two-year-old triplet boys to keep them on their toes. I swung over to Darby a few days after Lauren and Jeff's Two Feathers ranch wedding to meet up with them for their family session with their little guys. The triplets had a blast showing me the finer points of cowboy hat-throwing, hay tossing, rock-skipping, tree-"climbing," and grass-wading (since the tall grass is much, MUCH taller than these adorable little guys!). Thank you so much for having me photograph your handsome family! On to the photos of these little charmers. On the docket: a stunning bridal ...
