I have been wanting to blog the Roberts' family's photo session for a while now since 1. They were a total and complete blast to photograph. 2. We seriously had a gorgeous evening to work with. And 3. Their girls, Landon and Logan made me remember just what is so exceptionally amazing about being a kid. We giggled, we skipped, we got goofy, we ran, we played in the grass, and we made Jill and Dave laugh too. And it was pure beauty. What a treat it was to photograph your family - thank you! Come back and visit again soon! :) On the docket: portraits, weddings, and more portraits! Don't miss out! Cheers, -Kristine ...
Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries :: The House Family’s Flathead Lake Lifestyle Family Portraits
What's better than Montana's Flathead Lake in the summer? Not much. But... if you add the adorable House family to the mix- Hallie, Ryan and their kiddos Jude, Lyla and Piper....then you've got a recipe for pure sweetness for lifestyle family portraits. I had the pleasure of meeting up with them at their family's lake house on Finley Point to make some fun, spontaneous photos of them as they enjoyed the woods, lake and cherry orchard surrounding the property. We skipped stones, said silly words at the top of our lungs, wiggled our toes in the lapping waves, ran races, rolled around in the soft grass, climbed trees, and ate ripe, juicy ...
Sisterhood – {Jenny and Winny’s Missoula Sister Session}
Probably one of the greatest compliments I can get from a client is to be invited to photograph them multiple times - and I got to do just that with Jenny! Our first session together was for her senior portraits, and this time, before heading out to college, she wanted to do a sister session with her little sister, Winny, as a gift to themselves and to their parents. Such a sweet idea! We had a great time making some fun images for them, and I've got to hand it to these ladies...it was about 99 degrees during our shoot, but you'd never know it by looking at them. We were all pretty hot after our walk around town, but these ladies totally ...
A Walk in the Snow – {A Wintry Missoula Family Session}
It was one heck of a snowy, cold day for Megan's family's photo session - but seriously. It was downright gorgeous. I mean....what better than fluffy, white snow and lovely smiling faces? Megan and her husband braved the cold temps (since they were visiting Missoula from a warm 75 degree Arizona), and even though we were all a bit on the chilly side, we had a great time walking through this winter wonderland. Megan, it was so nice meeting your family and your mother's friend, too. What a fun time - and memorable! :) On the docket: portraits and the last 2012 wedding of the season! Cheers, -Kristine ...
Skips and Smiles – {The Hand Family’s Missoula Family Session}
I had such a nice time meeting the Hand family the other day for the sweet family session - they were gifted the session by Brian's sister, and I had such a great time making these images for them. It was a bit of a chilly day, but luckily we managed to sneak in our session before the first snowfall. Melissa, Brian, Emerson and Gavin - you all are absolutely delightful, and it was such a treat to make these photos for you! :) On the docket: portraits and weddings! Cheers, -Kristine ...
Thanksgiving Family Fun! – {Western Montana Family Portraits}
So....I'm not sure there's anything better than meeting past bride's and groom's adorable little babies - and that certainly was the case when I met up with Nicole, Jason, their twin babies Walker and Gia, and Nicole's sister and brother and their families for their Thanksgiving get-together outside of Missoula, at the ranch Nicole and Jason celebrated their wedding day. (You might recognize Nicole and Jason from the cover of the Brides and Grooms magazine a few years back.) It was so nice to see everyone again and meet such sweet little bundles of cute! We all had a great time being goofy for the babies and walking around the ranch a bit ...
A Fall Family – {The Pestel Family’s Missoula Portrait Session}
I had the pleasure of meeting up with Theresa, Nic, their adorable kiddos, Zilya and Nolan, and their dog Hannah. It couldn't have been a more stunning autumn day to traipse about town taking advantage of all the gorgeous colors we could come across. Zilya and Nolan had an especially great time showing me their expertise at tossing leaves and we all got in a lot of giggles throughout our session. Thank you again, Pestel family, for having me create these portraits for you - it was so lovely meeting such a beautiful, happy family! :) On the docket: portraits, weddings and more portraits! Cheers, -Kristine ...
Sweet Baby Boy – {Theodore’s Missoula Newborn Session}
I met up with Nicole, Ryan and their new baby boy, Theodore, a while back to document their new family together - dogs included! We had such a great time, and Ted was such a good little guy for his parents - he slept like a champ and when he did decide to wake up a bit, he made all sorts of adorable little faces for us. Thank you again for having me capture such sweet moments between all of you - it was an absolute pleasure! And congratulations again on your new addition! :) On the docket: portraits, weddings and more portraits! Cheers! -Kristine ...
Golden Fields and Great Smiles – {The Morrison Family’s Portrait Session}
I'm just going to come out and say it. The Morrison family is cool. As in - they are downright AWESOME. We had such a great time during their family session - laughing, walking all over the place and just really enjoying ourselves. The girls are about to jet off to the other side of the country to pursue school at Harvard and also in New Hampshire, so they decided to get some nice family photos of all of them. Hopefully these photos make them all feel a little bit closer in spirit. :) Thanks again, guys! It was SO great to meet you and make these images for you - here's to some great adventures in your future, both in Montana and on the ...
Summer Mornings – {Family Reunion at Montana Paws Up Resort}
It was a bright, sunshiny day when I met up with these three families to make some reunion portraits of them all together, enjoying Montana at Paws Up Resort. The boys were adorable in their blazers, and had a great time showing me butterflies they had caught, and demonstrating their best jumping moves. And all hands came together amongst tree rings to highlight the multiple generations - from little hands to bigger hands. Thank you again for having me document a little slice of life during your time in Montana - it was so wonderful to meet you all, and I hope you all had safe trips home! On the docket: weddings, portraits, a rock ...
