I was so happy to hear from Keegan when he contacted me about having Missoula father and son portraits made with his boys, Anze and Mikko. There’s just something so special about the connection between a dad and his boys, and I’m so glad he wanted to document it. Anze and Mikko (and Keegan too, of course!) were such troopers and we had a great time searching the river for fishies, racing through the grass, making wishes on flowers, and hunting for grasshoppers (that Anze very successfully found!).

The boys loved getting tickles from their dad and each other, Anze made sure Mikko didn’t actually eat any of the pine needles he was trying so hard to get in his mouth, and we all had a good time laughing and giggling throughout our session as we wandered through the woods and kept our eyes open for woodland creatures (we were treated to some turkeys and deer).

Keegan, Anze and Mikko – thank you again for such a delightful session! I’m so glad you invited me to capture this time in all of your lives and your boys at such sweet ages. What gems you’ve got! Here’s to you and your sons!
