Lauren and Nathan's Great Falls, Montana Malmstrom Air Force Base wedding was perfection - from Lauren's dress (so special that it was her mother's!), to their sweet first look, to the sun streaming through the gorgeous stained glass windows in the chapel, to their beaming smiles as they looked at one another during their ceremony. Their love, and everyone else's love for them, simply radiated. After Lauren and Nathan's ceremony everyone shifted over to their reception at the Great Falls International Airport where folks dined on "breakfast for dinner," had a great time mingling and enjoying the photo booth, and soon were smiling and ...
Michelle + Dave :: Stevensville, Montana Wedding at the Stone Tower Estates
We all had our eyes on the sky as Michelle and Dave's Stevensville, Montana wedding at the Stone Tower Estates got underway. Rain clouds zipped through, but then skirted around us as clouds gave way to brilliant sunshine highlighting the beauty of the Bitteroot Mountains, and the loveliness of Michelle and Dave's day. Everyone was in high spirits as they readied themselves to walk down the aisle, and smiles were abundant as the wedding party made their way down the aisle strewn with rose petals. Michelle was radiant in her dress as well as her mother's veil, causing Dave to wipe away a tear or two as he looked at his beautiful ...
Jena + Dan :: Corvallis, Montana Wedding at the Flying Horse Ranch
Though the forecast predicted rain, Jena and Dan's wedding at the Flying Horse Ranch was picture perfect - blue skies, fluffy white clouds, a golden eagle overhead, brilliant sunshine here and there - Montana certainly pulled out all the stops for them. And the beauty didn't stop there. Jena walked down the aisle, beaming, as she looked at Dan. And the two laughed and smiled as they spoke their vows to one another. In an incredibly touching moment, Jena and Dan invited close friends and family to join them at the altar to bless their rings before exchanging them with one another. Soon they enjoyed their first kiss as newlyweds to a chorus ...
Emily + John :: Missoula, Montana Springtime Engagement Session in the Mountains
There's nothing more beautiful than a couple who can laugh together - and Emily and John certainly epitomize that in their relationship. It was so nice to meet up with them while Emily was visiting John from Tennessee. The weather even behaved itself for us and held off on the rain as we had a great time trekking around and making springtime engagement photos. We had so much fun chatting and laughing, and I'm just beyond happy for these two, as it's clear they've got something pretty special going on. Emily and John, congratulations again on your engagement! I'm so excited for you both, and am even happier that you two will get to call ...
The Brock Family :: Missoula, Montana Springtime Family Portraits
It was such a pleasure to get to meet up with the Brock family for their springtime family portraits. The girls were bursting with energy and excitement, which is always awesome to see, so we had a blast during their session. Thank you again for such a fabulous session - you are such a beautiful, happy family, and it was an absolute treat to make these images for you all! On the docket: portraits and weddings coming up! Family Fun! :: The Knutson Family’s Missoula Portrait Session
I love photographing this time of year - the late spring yields lush greens, dramatic Montana skies, and lots of brightly colored wildflowers. It was even more fun to meet up with Carol and her family for their Missoula family portrait session. We walked the hills, made wishes on flowers, laughed a ton, and managed to dodge a few raindrops while we were at it. Carol, thanks again for such a great session with your beautiful family! It was such a pleasure to meet you all! On the docket: wedding season is in full swing so stay tuned for lots of weddings and portraits coming up! Cheers, -Kristine ...
Bravery at its Best :: Richard Hoover for Paralyzed Veterans of America
It was such an honor to photograph Richard Hoover for Paralyzed Veterans of America. PVA hired me last December to do this shoot, and I can only say that I left Richard's home feeling so grateful to have met him, completely inspired by his stories, my heart full to the brim. Richard Hoover was a fighter pilot in Vietnam and had flown 148 missions. As you might expect, this time was no walk in the park. He told me of bullets whizzing past the engines and propellers of his jets, many long intense hours in the air, and bombs going off near their camps as they slept at night. Visiting the latrine was a gambling with your life. Just ...
Pampered Pets :: Elizabeth’s Missoula Pet Portraits
I'm a huge animal fan, so when Elizabeth contacted me about doing some Missoula pet portraits for her business, Equus and Paws, I was excited to work with her (and her pet friends!). Elizabeth offers dog grooming as well as pet sitting and dog walking in Missoula. She also has specialties in both canine and equine massage. During our session we wanted to demonstrateĀ these things in our images (as well as a few fun portraits of Elizabeth and her horse, Spice) - so take a peek below to see for yourself how Elizabeth works. Thank you again, Elizabeth for such a great session! It was so fun to meet some of the dogs and horses you work with. ...
Brooke :: University of Montana Graduation Portraits
Brooke was so enthusiastic when she contacted me to make some University of Montana graduation portraits and headshots of her to use for her graduation invites and in the professional world. I knew we'd have a great time working together because of her awesome positive energy. And we even lucked out with gorgeous spring weather and lovely light (although I swear, that 70 degrees sure felt like summer to me!). Brooke's also got THE most sparkly blue eyes I've ever seen - no need to visit the Caribbean - just check out Brooke's eyes! We had such a nice time laughing and chatting about her plans for the future during our quick little session. ...
Mountain Running :: {Lolo and Trapper’s Missoula Pet Portraits}
I have a huge soft spot forĀ animals and love capturing them doing what they love, so when Pam contacted me to ask about making some portraits of her two dogs, Trapper and Lolo, I was more than a little excited. And we had SO much fun! Trapper and Lolo were thrilled to be out running in Missoula's snow and the sun, though I think they thought our walk was a little strange (why do you silly humans keep stopping to make clicking noises with that boxy contraption?), but they were so good and I think we all left with perma-grins plastered to our faces. We've also come to the conclusion that Trapper had better start working on L.L. Bean to get ...
