Meeting up with Jack the other day for his Missoula Montana downtown senior photos was a blast - but I kind of suspected it might be since my senior session with his older brother Sam was a great time too! As we poked around downtown Missoula, Jack told me a little bit more about himself. He's a senior at Sentinel High School, and he keeps pretty busy these days with soccer and track. He also has grand plans to attend the University of Montana's business school for a focus in marketing, which I can tell will be a path he'll excel in. Jack is naturally easygoing, and was so fun to photograph - he smiles and laughs easily (even in spite ...
Katie :: Autumn Senior Pictures in Missoula Montana
I always love Missoula in the autumn, and Katie and I were really able to make the most of this beautiful time in town during her autumn senior pictures in Missoula Montana. Not only that, we definitely had a blast making her images! Katie's a senior at Hellgate, and as I came to learn while we meandered about during her session, she's got a super witty sense of humor, a great eye for locations, and isn't afraid to just go for it in her photos - all of which I love! We had a fantastic time finding the most colorful spots for her photos, randomly came across an old, bright blue bus (I love me some old, blue buses, yo!), and at one point, ...
Logan :: Urban Senior Photos in Missoula Montana
I'm always stoked to get to work with people who love color and texture as much as I do, and Logan is definitely one of them! For her urban senior photos in Missoula Montana we especially had a great time seeking out various shades of blue since blue is Logan's favorite color. (Check out her rad blue converse!) Logan even brought her dog, Pond (named after Doctor Who's Amelia Pond), and she had a great time too, and was especially interested in the ducks we encountered as we traipsed about town. It was so much fun making these images for Logan - I love how she's confidently got her own style going on, and her easy, genuine smile is the ...
Bridger :: Missoula Montana Urban Senior Pictures
As you may know if you've followed my work for a while, I adore color and texture and all sorts of bright and happy in my images. So when I was photographing Bridger's Missoula Montana urban senior pictures and he told me he is also a fan of those things and enjoys art too, I knew we'd have a great time making some fun photos for him. We had a good time wandering and visiting some eclectic, colorful and funky areas around Missoula, and really making the most of texture, light and bright color pops (and maybe a giant rooster as well - I mean - how can you NOT have fun with a giant rooster painted on a wall?!). As we walked and ...
Cheyanna :: Missoula Montana Autumn Senior Photos
As Cheyanna and I marveled at the glorious autumn day we were treated to for her Missoula Montana autumn senior photos, we couldn't help but exclaim that Mother Nature was totally on our side that day. Which was particularly fitting for Cheyanna since she absolutely adores being outside and partaking in all sorts of outdoor activities as well (including hunting elk!), and is especially fond of the fall colors we get treated to here. As we meandered about while making her photos, Cheyanna told me a little bit more about herself. She's a senior this year at Stevensville High School, and she's really enjoying her senior year thus far. She ...
Hunter :: Missoula Autumn Senior Photos
It was such a pleasure meeting up with Hunter the other evening for his Missoula autumn senior photos. Hunter's a senior at Big Sky High School and, though he hadn't ever had professional photos done before, he was excited and eager to show some of his favorite things during his shoot, which is always fun for me too! He brought his three-year-old golden retriever, Blue, with him for a few images, and as we walked from location to location, he told me that he participates in all sorts of sports including football, track and field and baseball. He brought along a football that was decorated by his girlfriend, and his jersey for a few images, ...
Camryn :: Senior Pictures in Missoula MT
We had ourselves one heckuva hot day for Camryn's senior pictures in Missoula MT the other day (she's a class of 2018 senior at Hellgate High School), but you would have never known it from Camryn's happy, bubbly attitude during our session. We joked that it wouldn't be a senior session without some kind of weather drama (since a couple years earlier I had done Camryn's older sister Emilee's photos and we'd been surprised by a rainstorm during her session!). So 90-something weather was just par for the course for us. :) We had such a blast poking around some cool areas at the University of Montana campus (where Camryn is planning on ...
Sam :: Senior Pictures in Missoula MT
From the get-go I knew I'd have a great time making senior pictures in Missoula MT for Sam, a senior at Sentinel High School. He's got such a positive attitude and was really looking forward to his downtown urban session with all the funky buildings and whatnot. As we wandered from spot to spot during his short and sweet session, Sam told me a little bit more about himself. He's really into graphic design, and also enjoys journalism and cars. In fact, he's combined these last two by taking an internship with a car publication and is currently writing for them (how cool!). Sam also loves movies and music and he even plays the piano in the ...
Ryan :: Senior Pictures in Missoula
We have had what feels like an unusually rainy autumn in Missoula, but somehow Ryan and I lucked out for his senior pictures in Missoula, and we enjoyed a break in the rain and even were treated to some sun as well! For Ryan's short and sweet session, we visited a park near his house and then wandered up a nearby hillside. As we wandered, Ryan told me a little bit more about himself. He's really into music and especially enjoys playing his saxophone. At the time of his session, he was just about to head to All State with the high school band. He told me that he likes improvisation, but joked and pointed out that he's not really a huge fan ...
Jake :: Corvallis Montana Senior Photos
I was a little nervous Jake and I were going to get stormed on for his Corvallis Montana senior photos - as I was driving in, the clouds hung low and dark in the sky and I saw a few lightning bolts crackle through the air. But somehow we lucked out and the storm clouds stayed away, and even treated us to some pretty dramatic scenes and absolutely lovely light right in Jake's own back yard. Jake's originally from Seattle, but absolutely loves and prefers Montana and has been here for about 3 years now. He also adores his dogs, and we got to photograph Shiloh, his 7-year-old German short hair pointer, and Ranger, his 8-month-old puppy, also ...
